We Are The Church

Dear Friends,

I am so excited about this Sunday, as are many of you. I also acknowledge that many of you would not feel comfortable being there, and I completely respect and understand that decision. If you are in this group, please know that we will miss you dearly as we gather! We will continue to broadcast our recorded worship so that you may join your prayers with ours Sunday by Sunday. For those who do plan to be there, here are the basics of our plan to keep in mind:

  • Before you come, please assess your own health. If you have experienced any symptoms of COVID-19 (fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea), please stay home.

  • We will gather in the parking lot behind the church at 9 am.

  • The service will be Morning Prayer and not the Holy Eucharist (yet).

  • Come casual! This service will have a very relaxed format.

  • Everyone is required to wear a mask, with infants and toddlers the only exceptions.

  • Please bring your own chairs and maintain at least 6 feet of distance from your fellow worshipers.

  • Please stay outside in the parking lot if possible. If you must use the restroom, you may enter through the door that leads to the restrooms by the sacristy. Before leaving the restroom, please use the disinfecting wipes provided to sanitize the space.

Morning Prayer is not a long service, so we should be done by 9:30 or so. After the service you will move to your cars for a "We Are The Church" parade, in lieu of our usual Rally Day to kick off the program year. So hop in line, turn up some music, wave at the staff, have a prayer with me, and receive a gift bag from the church.

In the coming weeks, we are preparing to reengage with Christian formation classes in outdoor, distanced settings. So please pay attention to our announcements about that.

I am looking forward to seeing you!

God bless,
Fr. Quinn+
