Youth Ministry
EYC
At St. Peter’s we offer multiple opportunities throughout the month for young people to engage in the EYC (Episcopal Youth Community)
On the first Sunday of each month St. Peter’s and Grace Church meet for a shared EYC event. (Open to 6th-12th graders)
Once a month, the Jr. EYC (4-5th graders) are invited to join in with the EYC for fun and fellowship.
Once a month ChattEY (a gathering of all Chattanooga Episcopal youth) meets to spend time together.
Sunday School
On Sunday Mornings, we meet in the Youth Room downstairs, outside the Bracewell Room. Every teen receives a Storymakers Zine for the season. Storymakers invites young people to spark their creativity and hear the Bible as their story. No questions are too big or small. Come ready to engage and be inspired! All you need to bring is yourself.
Diocesan Events
The St. Peter’s EYC participates in a wide variety of Diocesan Events. Churches from all over East Tennessee send youth to gather in community at these events. Additionally the youth group participates in ChattEY (a meeting of youth from Chattanooga Episcopal churches) regularly as well. These activities range from lock-ins and retreats to fun outings and more.
St. Peter’s also send youth to Happening twice a year, which takes place at Grace Point Camp and Retreat Center.
For more information about Happening, ChattEY, or any other Diocesan Event, please visit the ETN Youth Website.
