Quinn Ruins Everything
Dear Friends,
For the last couple of years, we've had a great time with our Sunday evening programs in the fall. We've gathered for a meal and Christian formation activities for all ages. It's always an enjoyable time, and I hope you'll be with us on Sunday nights this fall beginning October 20 and continuing until November 10.
By now, you've probably seen the title we've been using for this year's program: "Quinn Ruins Everything." It's borrowed from a show called "Adam Ruins Everything," which looks at commonly held beliefs on topics ranging from weddings to hygiene practices to the internet. The host, Adam Conover, then shows why the common wisdom is often so wrong, thus "ruining" them.
It's typically very funny and done for a good purpose—some of this common knowledge needs to be ruined! Sometimes we are mistaken in the assumptions we make and having them ruined can lead us into a better understanding of that area of life.
That sort of movement is at the heart of our fall program. I'm hoping to take us out of our mistaken common assumptions and into the deeper beauty of the faith. We will take a look at four specific topics in Christian theology—liturgy, the Bible, death, and stewardship. It’s going to be a great time to learn and to grow in our faith, knowledge, and community.
I hope you'll join us.
God bless,
Fr. Quinn+
